Michael R. Hagerty, Ph.D., professor emeritus at University of California, Davis, has lectured and consulted for governments from Greenland to China on how to improve quality of life for citizens. He is now on the Marin County Commission for Aging. He recognized early the benefits of living in an Age-Friendly community, and he has served on the Board of Directors of Marin Valley Mobile Country Club in Novato. Gloria Dunn-Violin is the author of Revivement: Having a Life After
Making a Living, and a professional speaker, workshop leader and writer on retirement and aging. She enjoyed 25 years providing services in training, coaching, and consulting in Organizational Development and Behavior and 10 years as an award-winning public relations professional. Gloria hosted a Cable TV talk show, and wrote another book and articles for publications nationwide. She writes a monthly column for the North Bay Business Journal, and is an active member of the community and the Novato Rotary Club.
Carol Ann Moore is director of the Margaret Todd Senior Center. Working with Episcopal Senior Services, the Center is a hub of activities, clubs, and volunteer activities in Novato.
